From this survey I have come to a conclusion that many youngsters are appealed to a music video through the visuals whether it's the settings or the choegraphy hence a lot of their favourite videos involves a strong use of visuals.
The theme of love was consistent in the choice of genre in my survey particurlarly with girls, which highlights the key interests of such age group.
Youngsters are very subjective and have a variety of favourite artists as shown in the survey but most of the artrists fell under the cetergory iof POP which indicated the liking for this type of music.

Audience Feedback of Initial Ideas:

After Coming up with our ideas for our main music video, i went out and interviewed various of different people in different age groups. This gave me a idea on what others think of our ideas, in addition to this it gave me a idea on where i can improve in the video and make it more effective, which would attract the target audeince. the main Questions i asked was:

'What do you think of our initial ideas?'
'What improvements could be made?'
'Do you think it follows the pop/love genre?'

This helped me make improvements to our ideas as i got a large amount of responses from different age groups ranging from year 7's to teachers within the school

We thought to shoot in different romantic locations. Also our unique selling point is 'The City Scape' feeling, due to the fact it has become more popular in tourists eyes due to the olympics. therefore we would have a wide population interested in viewing our final product.


At the beginning we were all asked to come up with ideas for our final production, we all went off and Brainstormed all our ideas. After brainstorming and combining all our intial ideas togeather, we came to a conclusion on what our final shots and story would portray. Our final product would follow the Codes and Conventions of a typical Pop romantic music video, however our locations wouldnt be 'exotic' as we are following the 'City Scape' idea. This means we would be mostly shooting in the city, there would be more infromartion about the locations on our blog. Futhermore we have decided to have a main vocalist which will be singing throughout the whole music video but with flashbacks of her last relationship and how much she is missing it she will be following a 'Direct mode adress' as she will be looking directly at the camera, this would allow the audeince to almost sypathise with her and make them feel as if they no how she is feeling inside. Also by using direct mode adress the audeicne would feel like they almost no the character. Our Main Vocalist is going to be 'Nusrat Chowdhury' and our main couple which would be invovled in the flashbacks will be 'Sana Rahman And Ally Molu.The couple would be following a indirect mode adress, as they wouldnt be looking straight at the camera.  More information would be given about the main characters invovled in our production on the blog.The Visuals contrasts with the lyrics therefore our music video will be following the Andrew godwins theory as our video is mostly illustartive. In addition we will be follwoing a sterotypical dress code for our main vocalists, her look will be 'Glamourous' she will be wearing girly sterotypical clothing; similarly she will be wearing makeup this would be conventional and aspirational for the audeince due to the fact they would want to look like her.

By the vocalist dress code we will be following the 'Male Gaze' theory, due to the fact this is the way men expect to see women dressed.

The couple on the other hand would be wearing casual clothes which they wear in thier everyday life this is beacuse they will be going out to places such as parks, london. We will be having a range of shots within our production, this would keep the audeince engaged and interested, the idea of 'Black and white' flashbacks wouldnt bore the audience. Therefore we hope to make our final product as engagable and exciting as possible.

Before deciding on our final ideas, we had to complete 'Market Research' this invovled us looking at other Music videos and gathering ideas form thier. We got our main ideas from the following videos:

"Unfaithful" By Rihanna
These videos helped us gain more ideas of what we could include in our final product. We also done other Research. One of my group members 'Smita Roy' interviwed individuals to gather ideas of what they would expect to see in a pop video. I then went out to see what the audeince think of the idea we came up with, i got positive responses as people were impressed and interested in watching our final product when it is done.

Overall our main Production of 'The One By Jennifer Lopez' will conform to a sterotypical pop video, however have some features and uniqeness that would gain more of the market watching our production.
